Everything you want to know…well, almost everything 🙂
How is my price determined?
Project cost is based on a lot of things including shop time (how long it takes to make), finishing time, wood choice and size and complexity of the project.
Can I customize a project?
Absolutely! When you reach out to me, a dialogue is started and doesn’t end until you and I know exactly what it is you want.
How long will it take to complete?
Hmmmmm, that’s a tough one. We try to get projects finished and out the door as quickly as we can. This will depend on my current project list, size of your project, length of design time and availability of materials. Typically I like to get larger projects out in 4 – 8 weeks but this is just a rough estimate. Please talk to me and we can work out a schedule that is possible for both of us.
Do you ship all across Canada?
Yes we certainly do. I’ve even shipped to Australia! 🦘
How do you calculate shipping?
Shipping prices will vary depending on your location plus the size and weight of the package. Once we’ve completed the project and it’s all boxed up, I’ll figure out the shipping and let you know what the final amount is.
Where are you located?
We’re located near Perth, Ontario.
Do I have to pay to get started?
Once we’ve gone over all the details of what you want made, I’ll ask for a deposit that we can agree on.
Can I collect my items directly from the shop?
Yes of course! Once the item is finished we will arrange a time for you to pick up your piece.
What's the difference between a woodworker and a carpenter?
While both involve working with wood, woodworkers often focus on finer, more detailed work like cabinetry and musical instruments, while carpenters may work with larger structures.
What is a CNC machine?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. It refers to the automated control of machine tools (like spindles and routers) by a computer, using pre-programmed instructions. These instructions guide the machine to cut, shape, and create parts and prototypes with precision.
